Very nice attentive staff. They try to make vet visits a more peaceful time. My vet will even sit down on the floor to do what she can of the exam. They have cat rooms with soft music to soothe the kitties. They also have treats and have a cat pheromone dispenser to help calm my cats. If your cat is still upset, they will offer a medicine to help calm ur kitty prior to ur next visit! They also accept care credit. This has saved my life!
Usually they are super friendly and nice people. So kind and gentle with animals. However this time around my sister took her dog in and they were adamant that what was wrong was a flea allergic reaction. This dog doesn't have fleas. It took some arguing and prompting to even get this vet to do a skin test. Once the test results came back we found out she had a severe skin infection. The vet proscribed pain meds and flea meds. The infection never went away and has only gotten worse.
Love this place. The vets and staff are so good with my pets and know their stuff. My dog is usually a bit nervous with vets and they always give her a lot of love and treats to make her feel better at appointments, and are very patient overall. Would recommend this clinic to everyone.
This is the best pet clinic over ever been to, but this particular vet would not listen to the pet owner.
The staff here is amazing and show so much love for your pets! You can tell they truly care about them and us. They did a great job of communicating with us during our puppy' s spay procedure and did a great job answering all our first time dog owner questions! Jasmine, our puppy gets so excited every time we go there, she just loves it there which is amazing to say about a vet office! I highly recommend these guys, they take good care of you and your kiddo!
We have had such a positive experience with taking our cat to Ankeny Animal and Avian Clinic. They are thorough, caring, and truly seem to care about our cat's health. They listen to our concerns and provide realistic solutions to the health concerns. We are specifically having our cat treated for feline diabetes and high blood pressure and the experience for both has been excellent. For those with cats, you will appreciate that they have a separate entrance for cats and don't require you to sit in a waiting room with dogs while your cat freaks out (like mine does). Also - the entire staff is so responsive. We get calls back on the same day for our concerns and questions. THANK YOU!
