Pingora outdoors is a must visit if you're in the market for outdoor gear. The owner, Dom, has a lot of experience with the outdoors and is really knowledgeable about the best gear available out there. Add to that the personalized attention you get when you shop at the store and you get a fantastic shopping experience. Highly recommend!
I had a great experience checking out this gem in Uptown Ankeny. Dom, the owner is very passionate about the outdoors and encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle. The gear is great quality with fabulous materials and colors. Swing by this place off of the High Trestle Trail. He also arranges outdoor adventures for mountain biking and such. I wish them much success.
Dom and his staff are very friendly & incredibly knowledgable. I had a great time with them on a recent short excursion. If you are an experienced outdoors person or someone just getting started like myself, this is the place to be!
P.S. The double sleeping pad from Klymit is truly a game changer.
Finally - I no longer have to drive to Des Moines for quality outdoor gear! Dom knows his stuff and is enthusiastic about getting each person in the right gear. He even has some quality clothing lines I have not heard of before. I'll be going back.
