In the meantime I found another dentist in Ankeny that could see me right away. After I got back from that appointment, I called Pollard Family Dental. Nobody answered the phone, so I left a voicemail telling them I didn't need an appointment any more. I also went online and filled out their contact form letting them know I didn't need an appointment any more. At the time of my appointment, I got a phone call from them wanting to know where I was.

I called their ANKENY phone number to schedule an appointment in ANKENY. I gave them my home address in ANKENY. I filled out their online patient forms giving my address in ANKENY. When I showed up for my appointment, there was a closed sign in the window and a giant padlock on the door. When I called the Ankeny number to find out what was going on, I was told they had me down for their Ames office. They rescheduled me for the next day in Ankeny.
Clearly Pollard Family Dental isn't ready for two offices. There are lots of other dentists in Ankeny that are capable of serving its residents.
Best Dentist experience in both my wife's and my opinion that we've ever had. We had an intern work on our teeth, but Dr. Pollard still came over to talk to us and introduce himself; very warm and welcoming. Made us feel like we were friends and he wanted us there - the rest of the staff/atmosphere matched. Even the intern was impressive in skill and friendliness. We both knew immediately where we will take our future business, even though we are on the complete opposite end of Ankeny!
