My experience has been very poitive. Not only has Jeremey, the detective assigned to our case been very helpful, polite, and respectful. My experience has taught me you treat everyone as you expect to be treated. Usually when encountering a member of law enforcement, we are anxious and uncertain of the intentions. Since many of us do not have a lot of contact with law enforcement we may be driven to believe some of the less desirable things that are written. Butt we want the police to stop Speeders to protect our children, we want the police to be diligent in watching for suspicious activity to protect our community. We all need to remember just like ourselves we are all just doing our job.
I've unfortunately had too many interactions with the Ankeny police but each time they have been kind, courteous, professional, and quick to respond.
After an interaction with one of these officers I believe that these officers have absolutely no regard for the citizens they serve.
They actually assigned a detective to my fraud case! Im impressed! Good job keep it up!
At one time I could respect the officers but no more, I have no respect for them or their uniforms. In my opinion they get what they deserve. Freedom of Speech.
Start teaching your officers how to act like civilized human beings, not like ill-tempered animals, please.
Police officers have the duty to act respectful, and civilized when interacting with the community, and individuals they serve, the officer I encountered acted like a complete bully, using the fact that he's an officer to intimidate me.
Someone who pays your salaries.
In my opinion the Ankeny police officers do not protect and serve. Officer Spencer Baltes took a report on a bomb threat and is letting this man go. He has made a small bomb once and now he threatens to do it again. But the officer REFUSED to help me with the complaint. The officers have been out here numerous times for this same person and they do nothing to him. I see now why the public is handling the law themselves.
Sincerely,
