I am a 7O year old who had rotator cuff tear repair surgery in July of 2017. I was referred to the Ankeny North Athletico location by my primary care physician for a month to see if there was any remarkable improvement from physical therapy prior to my primary care physician ordering an MRI and referring me to an orthopedic surgeon. My physical therapist, Athletico’s Dan Halfman, went with me to my first consult with the surgeon so he could answer any subsequent questions I might have after the surgery consult and, also, so he knew what my surgical plan was. A couple of weeks after surgery, Dan and I started my physical therapy. Dan is amazing at what he does — I could not have asked for better care! He encouraged me when I wanted to quit. He was kind and caring — not just with me, but in his interaction with other patients I saw under his care. He showed me exactly how to do each exercise and why. I am very pleased with my recovery which is for sure due to the personal care and guidance given me. I highly recommend the professionalism and genuine care and concern shown to me by all of the Athletico staff at this location.
