They changed owners of this place recently and have therefore been really slow the last couple visits. It's kind of annoying right now since no one seems to know what they are doing.
It's getting a little dated, the seats are a bit grungy, and the popcorn is not my favorite. But they have a good number of movies and show times! Tuesdays are affordable -- bargain night!
I would recommend going somewhere else and giving B&B a shot again when the new theater is built.
I went to see the new justice league movie, all in all it was really good I recommend it. I went with two friends and my brother and the place was kind of nice. You buy your tickets in the first room. It’s almost like a porch (its air conditioned of course). We snuck in 1 M&M’s, 1 Fanta pop, 1 snickers, and 1 mike and Ike’s all without being caught (it was really hard though). The place didn’t seem really uptight and it wasn’t a fancy theater. Tickets were only like seven or eight bucks during the day so no big deal there. We also bought two jumbo sized popcorns. They were made wonderfully and the butter was sprinkled all over very pleasantly. Long story short my friend was handing me one bucket while I was eating and I didn’t have my grip on it completely and it fell and spilt everywhere. While trying to catch the spilling popcorn, the other jumbo sized tub fell off my lap as well. Whoever had to clean that up I’m sorry.
Great neighborhood theater, comfortable seating and always very clean, the staff here is exceptional and the prices are reasonable, yes the theaters are a bit dated but as i said before, Always clean and comfortable.
The prices are high for what is being offered currently, and the new owners took away discount Tuesdays which was probably the best thing going for this place. They also don't accept fandango cards.
I see movies at this theater almost weekly (depending on what's new that week). The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the grounds and theatres are clean. It's NOT a national chain (although there are several Fridley theatres around, but they're all in smaller towns in this area) and that's reflected in the way the staff runs the place. They don't necessarily feel like just another employee and if you have a problem (I think maybe once there was no sound during the previews) they are quick to resolve it. If you're looking for an indie movie or a foreign movie this likely isn't the venue to see that, films won't stay here for weeks at a time unless they're huge hits, and being in a smaller town they get some of the more religious titles. I feel safe taking my kids to see a movie here and it's not that hard to get in or out and they have plenty of parking.
