Eat at an Ankeny McDonald's at your own risk. If the drive thru wait isn't ridiculous, almost guarantee the order will be messed up. Its always one or the other. Most the others in des Moines are fine.
I frequent the Ankeny McDonald's for lunch. Ever since they updated the restaurant with the new kiosks, the customer service has been outstanding! I'm always greeted, asked if i need help, and treated politely. Today me and my wife noticed a worker, named Charles, doing an outstanding job helping customers learn the new kiosks. Service is fast and friendly, and I've enjoyed the experience at this McDonald's over any other.
Free and Fast Internet, Nice Environment, Super clean, exceptional staff, super updated furnishings, great food on a great price! Yes, employee warmly brought food at my seating. Another warmly offered a mint. Feeling like super star!!!!
Fast food times at the Delaware McDonald's location are the worst at any fast food location I've ever been to regardless of what you order. Expect to be in line between 15 and 25 minutes also don't expect them to say sorry for the wait. I've given that location the benefit of the doubt more than once but for 2 solid months this is been happening. Several times they have messed up my order or forgotten an item and the last thing I want to do is spend another 15 to 25 minutes in line. I really do not expect anything to change. Management has to be fully aware of the issues.
Novel kiosk and table delivery, but half of the visits we've made have taken over 20 minutes to get our food. They are always short staffed it seems. Play area is awesome though if you have kids. Very clean restaurant and friendly service. 3 stars though due to price and time to get food. I was actually waiting to get food with my family and, on this trip, it took over 35 minutes and that is only after my wife went to talk to the manager.
